This picture was taken on a trail near Burstall Pass, Alberta, Canada. As an Outdoor Education Class my partners and I "tip-toed" our way into the woods through high risk avalanche terrain, studying the characters of the snowpack and safe backcountry travel. We built a quinzy and spent the night in the snow. One of my best winter trips.
